Frequently asked questions
What is a UTI?
A UTI, also known as a Urinary Tract Infection, is a common infection that affects the urinary system including the bladder, ureter and kidneys. UTIs occur when harmful bacteria enter the urethra either from the skin or rectum and infect the urinary tract. UTIs are more common for women due to shorter urethras and proximity to the rectum. You should do a UTI test if symptoms like painful urination, burning sensation during urination, painful pelvis or cloudy urine start showing.
